St George’s Day Parade

Parade goes ahead thanks to Conservative volunteers.

St Georges day 1

It was my absolute pleasure to lead the St George’s Day parade in Newark. Many of you may know that this Newark tradition nearly didn’t go ahead this year as the Scout and Guide groups didn’t have the funds to pay for the closure of the roads and the marshaling of the event. However thanks to Stuart Wallace, Conservative County Councillor, and other Conservative Councillors who agreed to marshall the event free of charge the parade went ahead. A big thanks go to these volunteers who enabled the continuation of this great tradition and to the 600 members of the Scout and Guide movement who took part!
